We are racing toward mass unemployment

Most semi-skilled manufacturing jobs left the U.S. between 1980 and 2005. American factory workers — who used to make actual living wages — were replaced with Third World workers who were paid almost nothing. Now, increasingly, those overseas workers are being replaced by robots.
